So I Was Searching Some Rolls of Pennies Tonight...

Like a good coin geek I was searching some rolls of pennies on a Saturday night. I was pretty thrilled to find my first ever 1952 Lincoln- even if it is a dog- and my first ever 1955 Canada cent. A few rolls later, there was another 1983 Lincoln and I flipped it over to check the reverse, as I always do. No wayyyy....

And it's a pretty decent 1983, to boot. Granted, I've seen better 1983s out there, but many circulated Zincolns tend to look like garbage.
I've read comments from people saying they want to pick up some bank rolls and search for 1972 or 1983 or 1984 doubled dies, and my first thought is always "yeah, right." I guess they still are out there...

1952 cents aren't that hard to find, but I have found that 1953 is not common, and 1954 is the hardest to find post-WWII. (I have about 200 wheat cents that were pulled from circulation by my parents in the 1960s-current, now by myself.)
My oldest circulation find Canadian is 1960-but spending a lot of time in a resort destination that is popular with Canadians probably helped me get so many of them!
Congrats to you!
That is way cool!

I agree, but I do believe the title has been changed to the "Sumorada Award"
That is just awesome.
Incredible find considering this is a quarter century after the fact.
