echeck fees

I have a number of expensive coins which I may be listing on eBay. In looking at the PayPal fee structure for Premier accounts, it shows the echeck fees as being the same as other PayPal fees. I remember reading somewhere that the echeck fee was $5.00. Has this changed? Thanks.

Still $5.00 instead of the 2.9%... which lately seems like 3.1% based on my math image

From what I understand if you have a premier account the fee is now 1.9 to 2.9 pct pluc 30 cents.

This change was noted this morning by someone who was charged more then the 5.00

    Good for you.
  • Finally got through to PayPal customer service. They stated that the echeck fee is $5 but it is "pro-actively stated" on the fee page. Presently PayPal is offering a discount on the echeck fee stated which reduces the charge to $5.

I wonder why they are doing this?

More and more ways for you to pay something for nothing of value. Reminds me of electric utility "deregulation."
