Nice photos Todd. The Connecticut and Bay Bridge look like they'll get some big grades.
    When in doubt, don't.

They all look pretty nice to me. That Elgin is particularly nice.

It's hard to guess the grades from the pics but I'd say 65's for most of those and the Elgin at least 66.

I like the VT especially, the bad hit isn't really too bad IMHO
  • Thanks for the responses, I know most of these are white and aren't real popular designs. but they do seem very original.

I personaly think the Bridgeport is outstanding. The hair detail on the vermont is also top notch imo.

Oh and I paid about $800 for this group, I feel I did quite wellimage

I only spent $3.50 at the antique store.

Didn't buy coins, because practically all of the coins there happen to be in MY booth.

But these were sitting in a little candy dish on the front counter. Fifty cents apiece. Eh, why not?

I was feeling pretty proud of myself until I took a loupe to them this morning and noticed that four of the earlier ones are marked 'ABBOTT "REPRO" 1968'.

Oh well. At least the Nixon, Goldwater, and Adlai Stevenson ones appear to be originals.
And the repros are forty years old in their own right. That scrawly writing on the Nixon appears to have been added after the fact.

No room on my hat for buttons- and besides, lots of people have button hats. How many do you know with Holey Gold (coin) Hats? image
