A little more info is needed I think.

    Auction your current membership?

    Auction memberships in general?

    What?
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    The name is LEE!

Well, as a promotional gimmick, Lee.
I would never sell my membership, but what if one could increase membership and at the same time add a premium ( a couple of bucks per membership)... by leading those who do not know of this company towards them, it might be a benefit to us all.
Not necessarily for profit, though some might be thinking that is the intent, but for the promotion of the hobby of collecting/submitting worthy coins, etc.
Remember: It's a hypothetical, so imagination is good.

This could apply ATS, as well. Just food for thought.

    Have a nice weekend !
