Upcomming coin show in WNY - Update and purchases

Next weekend, October 4-5, is the annual B.N.A. (Buffalo Numismatic Association) Fall Convention. The show is one of the larger local shows and is at 2735 Union Rd in Cheektowaga. If anyone is in the area it's a good show to go to. Mainly dealers in US coins but there are some dealers who specialize in Canadian and World coins.
If anyone is in the Depew, NY area on Sunday, yours truly will be set up at that show selling some fantastic Canadian and other coins, including a large collection of cash coins. The show starts at 10 AM and the Bills game doesn't start until 4 PM so you won't miss them beating the Rams.

Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.
The city of Buffalo itself is a pretty good attraction-but even bigger would probably be Niagara Falls! Several of the Great Lakes are only a short distance away as well.
I visited Nigara Falls for the first time last year, and took lots of pictures, which you can see here

I even have some videos of the Falls on YouTube, search user ElCaminoBilly
You're also only about 2 hours or less away from Cleveland Ohio!
The Falls is best seen from the Canadian side but one really should have a passport to cross the border. Well, you really don't need a passport to get into Canada, you need it to get back into the US.
It's a long drive from Jersey, I've made the drive myself. The coin show itself is not worth the drive IMO. But the Falls is really an amazing natural atttraction if you can ignore all the commercialism and the slums surrounding it on the US side.

I have seen more action at wakes than was at this show. I couldn't believe how few people showed up. This was the first show of the season and I thought there would be more floor traffic. I guess the economy is really hitting hard here.

This second purchase is a US Dollar from 1899. It's in terrible condition but when I saw it all I could think was 'my grandfather could have handled this bill'. I like these larger sized notes. Probably paid WAY too much for it, but c'est la vie.
The show was fairly well attended. On Saturday it was difficult to walk around, a lot of floor traffic. The couple dealers I talk to said sales were 'OK'. One dealer said someone came by and wanted to buy all his old NGC holdered coins (US) and was paying over Ask for them.
There was only one dealer who dealt only in World coins but quite a few dealers had some darkside material.

The Black Eagle is cool, too. I know next to nothing of currency values, but I have a vague notion that most of that old large size currency is bloody expensive in the better grades, to say nothing of how relatively little of it survived.
