Question about centering on 1985F Baseball

This may be a silly question, but, that's just how my questions tend to be...

I got a 4-box 1985F vending lot from BBCE and was wondering if 1985F is actually supposed to be centered top to bottom. The only reason I ask is I've gone through two of the boxes and would say that if true centering on this issue is even top/bottom (the gray part) that I've only pulled 10-15 cards that are really centered out of the first two vending boxes.

I'm pretty sure I know the answer, just wanted to verify.

Yes, they DO come centered but I know what you mean. Years ago I put together a hand-collated set card by card and it was tough to find perfectly centered cards.

    bziddy,
i've purchased a few of those from BBCE as well. i have had good luck with the grades. mostly 9s but have yielded several 10s. i have several more to submit in CS1s that are 10 worthy. comparing 9s and 10s side-by-side is a toss up. i wish i knew the secret to this set.

side note: if you are looking to sell for profit, most of the 9s will not yield the grading fees (except for clemens) and it's hard to bring myself to submit a GEM milt cuyler and it come back a 9.

    good luck.

    Thanks,

    David (LD_Ferg)

Yeah, I've been focusing on the cards I know will command a premium in 10 -- which means I won't be sending in any Mike Marshall cards....
  • Just thought I would throw this in. It is dead centered IMO and the corners are razor sharp (only referring to the Puckett). Does it look like a 10? I thought it did but it was a 9.
