Received on 9/15 and posted today. OK, so it was a bodybag as expected (altered surfaces), but the turnaround time was incredible!

The coin is an 1878 8TF Morgan VAM 14.9 in XF/AU, so a buddy of mine asked to give it a shot.

The dreaded altered surfaces designation....well at least they didn't make you wait.

BTW, did that coin come out of an ANACS 50 (same problem or "cleaned" on label)? I may have seen it raw last year, and didn't see a thing wrong with it.
