A couple of British Newps

This one just back from NGC today, came complete with a couple of scuffs on the holder. It's an 1807 P1383 restrike (one of the Taylor pieces) that made PF64, population 1/0. Unfortunately I can't image it well, it has very deep mirrors and the obverse has a very light blue-green toning in the outer parts of the field, really lovely when rotated in the light.

And this one arrived from the Goldbergs sale, an 1826 in MS64RB, it was almost like Christmas around here.

What kind of turnaround were you seeing at NGC? I was informed that they are having issues grading world coins and my submission from the 2nd of July does not have an estimated delivery date.
<< <i>Congrats on the new additions.

i would call them. i haven't heard or noticed any issues, and got a submission back from them on Monday. It was an economy world submission, and took 11 business days (they received it on Sept. 5th) which is about the norm for them in my experience.
<< <i>I had the dealer through whom I made the submission call last week and that is what he was told. All the US coins that were sent in the same submission came back in late July and early Aug. I am scratching my head at this point. I wonder if they lost a grader that specialized in german states? >>
sorry to hear that. since 3 of my 6 coins in the submission were german states too, i think you may have a clerical mistake there. I had an instance where they were at about 20 business days, and i called (since that is way late compared to every other time). Turns out, they had my coins (graded) in a safe for some reason thinking i had another US submission they were going to ship it with. i'm thinking you may have a similar thing here.
