Mercury Dime TrueView Images: guess the grades & comments welcome (RESULTS)

Hi all, I'm no expert in the series by any stretch, but here are two Merc's that I felt were slab-worthy. Guess the grades (no cheating!) and let me know what you think of them! I'll post the results later. RESULTS POSTED:

MS66FB: This coin is the true definition of "blast white" and is so minimally marked I thought it was a shoe-in for MS67! Oh well...the full bands are borderline but PCGS saw fit to give them the designation!


MS66FB: I really like this coin. Also very minimally marked, even when you look at the ultra-large closeup. I love the toning, that was the main reason I bought it. Really thought it had a shot at MS67FB...maybe if I ever resubmitted it would, but with these pictures, why would I?

not my specialty but i will guess MS66 FB for both. I really like the 1939-d better but the 1944-D seems to have a better strike. I am not a fan of toning.

39D should be 66 no bands and I think I see disturbance on the cheek of the 44 so I say 64 full band.

66 bands are not full in photo. But it could be the photo.

I'll go out on a limb here, and say the '39-D is a 68FB, and the '44-D is a 67FB.

beautiful dimes! I'll grade the 39-d a ms66, no FB. But I could see it in a ngc ms67 slab. And the 44d a ms66 FB.

It must be tough to get an MS67 these days. I have one that was graded a couple years ago and in my opinion, both of these coins are nicer! Oh well...

Wow!!, on that 39, I just can't see a mark that would knock that out of the 67 category. It's funny, if that were a Morgan, it would be a shoe in 68.
