Granted, you may not hover around the boards BUT prior to today you last logged on on Nov 1st, AFTER the important event that despite being several hours away kept you from taking a few moments to put a coin in a bubble pack envelope, slap a DC ticket on it & drop in any mailbox which caused us to have words!
It's taken you more time to type a childish insult than to respond to PM, email or to return a phone call.
This coin you're sending - is it the ONLY coin you own or the only one you wish to part with? I am & will be easily satisfied with it, if it's as you showed me.
I'm not picky - definitely not selfish and most certainly NOT a jerk. If I were, you'd know it in no uncertain terms. It's a shame that it took THIS to get a response from you. Ignoring multiple PMs, email and a phone message is unacceptable BS and THAT IS "being a jerk"!
Despite multi-tasking 18-20 hrs a day/ every day, I've been ready to go for days now. If you shipped Monday, as you say you did, why then did you not tell me after the fact (via PM, email or a phone call) or take a moment to post such here? Today is TUESDAY! (Communication IS Paramount as is treating you partner the way we all would like to be treated.)
Regardless, I'll take you at your word and send something nice. I have no time for this Nonsense.
Boom and I just couldn't find anything that each of us had that the other might want. I would still swap with Boom anytime if we could find each other the proper lot of coins.
Thanks again for doing the SWAP Boom as always, it has worked out well.

Listen, I did not ignore you. You called me at 1030 at night, woke my 2 year old up, and woke me up. I told you last Friday that I would not have time to send it out, but I would try, and if I did not get it out, I would on Monday. And that is what I did, Boom.
When I told you that you got pissed off at me and didn't know why I could not find time to mail it out. I will not put you or anyone in front of my family, and that night was with my family. You were being a jerk in that PM you sent me. You even sent me another PM after that saying you were sorry for the jerk PM and that you had stressful day. Do you remember?
You left me a phone message, a PM and an email. I responded to you via PM as soon as I could. I did not respond to you by phone or email because I thought the PM would cover it. I did not feel I had to respond to each type of communication.
Let it be known that I am in receipt of 1 about Good 1864 "Small Motto" 2 Cent Piece, from my partner, bstat1020. I have checked the #s listed above & also see that Brian is in receipt of the package I sent him. Delivery times & Dates are verifiable by copying the Delivery Confirmation numbers and pasting them to the "Track & Confirm" function available on the USPS website. THIS IS THE REASON FOR THE PUBLIC POSTING OF THESE NUMBERS - so that NO ONE can state, "I did not receive my package".
This COULD however sometimes be wrong as in the case of mis-delivered mail - WHICH IS PRECISELY WHY I STRONGLY ENDORSE INSURING YOUR PACKAGES & QUITE POSSIBLY ALSO PURCHASING SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION! This way, YOU (the swapper) have covered all the bases AND your back-sides!
In exchange for this coin (which I have yet to scrutinize) I have shipped him a Beautiful, NATURAL Mint Set Toned NGC 67 1956 Washington Quarter AND a VF-XF Large Cent, as he indicated he lacked BOTH for his Type Set Album Collection.
After I thoroughly examine the coin he sent and after he checks what I sent, we are to (AS SHOULD EVERYONE ELSE) indicate whether or not the Halloween Swap is or is not mutually satisfactory!
ALL ENTRANTS SHOULD DO THE SAME AS I HAVE HERE! Please indicate what was shipped AND received AND whether or not I can close the "book" on ALL SUCH SWAPS!
Referencing my newest Thanksgiving Swap thread - THIS STEP COULD BE THE ONE CAUSING ANY & ALL ISSUES. It is Imperative for BOTH swappers to publicly, TRUTHFULLY indicate whether said swaps are or are NOT MUTUALLY SATISFACTORY!
I await Mr. Statdfield's input regarding this.
Please read the Thanksgiving Swap thread. If you (any & all swappers, past & present) have anything of value/ of merit - to say ... to help arrive at some conclusions regarding swaps, please feel free to DO SO on THE THANKSGIVING SWAP thread.
Finally had time to go to the P.O. & pick up eyoung's package. I'm satisfied. I hope my package has arrive, but will wait for confirmation. FYI- Postal #1307 1300 0003 6197 8483
UPDATE eyoung has received his coins & all is well in the world...at least our swapping world.
With all due respect, and I mean that, can't your responces be sent via PM?
I DO undstand that when things go awry there tends to be a feeling that if correspondence goes public then you CYA, I've probably done it myself But really, I don't want to read all these (IMO) petty back & forth replies. And I don't really care who threw the gauntlet first.
Unless someone never comes through on the swap, I would happily continue to buy, sell & trade with each of you, although reading how this is going down belittles both of you.
And because one of the swappers is Boom I would suspect that there are 'helpers' that could step in to mediate if needed. Weren't a couple of memebers chosen as 'assistants'?
This all seems like dirty laundry that, at this point, I don't want to hear about.
The final aspect of any & all coin swaps (as outlined in Common Sense Guidelines of Coin Swapping, since neither party is at liberty to DO anything with what is received till) .. IS the mutual declaration that the swap is satisfactory.
Whether it IS or is not, it should first be handled via PM - then declared publicly.
My partner has been in posession of the coins I sent for several days yet this is the first I hear anything about satisfaction or the lack thereof!
Prior to shipping, knowing full well what my swapmate intends to send, my partner advises me he needs a nice Washington for his 7070 album. I then send him an NGC toned MS 67 1956 Washington Quarter. Bstat also mentioned that he lacked Large Cents or IHC. I have NO nice IHC but DO send him my lone Large Cent, which he also stated he could use.
At this point, I basically am satisfied however, my partner shows as having received his items (as shown here) but makes no mention of whether he is satisfied or not.... till now!
Your item was delivered at 11:50 AM on November 6, 2008 in FREEPORT, IL 61032.
Looking at the date of his response here vs when received, I have no idea how he feels and wish to move on!
I have no problem with what was sent by him or by me. If, however, he feels that the swap is not mutually satisfying either adjustments should be made or coins returned.
As far as I am concerned, this is finished business but I just need public verification from him, especially bearing in mind that I followed his request to the best of my ability. This IS NOT airing "dirty laundry". Far from it. It IS the final step in ALL coin swaps & very well could be the missing piece so far as swaps go.
As swappers we need to know if our partners are happy or not and not permit ill feelings to fester. Everyone is adhering to the initial aspects of swapping quite well however THIS IS the part that I see us lacking, collectively - as a group!

UPDATE
eyoung has received his coins & all is well in the world...at least our swapping world.
Thanks again Earl.
I'd like to discuss this swap with you.
So - what should come next?
An email or a phone call?
I've got mixed feelings about this coin.
Waiting on you.
Package received. They are average coins. No problems with the Washington, Large cent has about 5 rim dings on it, but still acceptable.
I am waiting on you Boom. PM me if you wish to have further discussions.

Thanks Earl!

Extremely happy with both!!!!!
Hell, I don't need to exercise.....I get enough just pushing my luck.
If yes - GREAT! If not, please correspond with one another and make it happen, if at all possible.
This is how it should ALWAYS WORK!
Thanks.
