1830 CBH........counterfit.....opinions

I'm 99% sure its a counterfit half, the weight is way low (11.7 g) the metal looks and "dings" like copper/nickel, the profile looks wrong for the year, take a look at "LIBERTY"........opinions .

    Yes, very counterfeit....but sorta cool in a way.
    Positive BST transactions with: too many names to list! 36 at last count.

    As a counterfeit, it may be more desireable than a "real" CBH in that condition.

    Some people really like to collect counterfeits.

    Very nice counterfeit.
    Just because I'm old doesn't mean I don't love to look at a pretty bust.

    One of many known German Silver counterfeit bust halves. These were probably made sometime around the Civil War, as there is an 1861 three cents silver that looks to be from the same manufacturer.
