I know some board members have bought from them in the past, but I have difficulty believing that they've gotten "tons of emails and calls" for a new 5% discount code.

    SPAM

This sort of stuff belongs on the BST board.
  • The site seems to have OK prices but I would give them my email address as about as fast as my daughters info.

Shame really anyone needs to do that far to try and get business

Do a search on their name and you'll see they are only spamming.

Interesting reception. RoyalMailers has actually gotten a relatively warm reception on the Lightside and in the BST... there's been a fair amount of discussion about the products they offer. *shrug*

Spam it may be, but Royal Mailers does seem to get a warm reception on the BST, and I for one am listening to this spam, as it is well-timed.

I was just thinking of ordering from them, and now the discount codes will make me think about it even more. I need mailers right now.

RM, for future reference: we usually put "SSP" in the title when we're selling something here on the Darkside forum. And if you post an "SSP" thread, it is customary to also do a modest giveaway to atone for it.

However, it is perfectly acceptable to post for-sale items at any time in the current "DARKSIDE WEEKLY SWAP" thread. That is a mini-BST for the Darksiders only, posted by various members once every given week.

Edit: you should activate Private Messages if you are going to participate as a member here, even an occasional member. That will make you look less like a hit-and-run spammer.

I fell for the spam this time and might invoke the wrath of my fellow Darksiders for humoring you, but hey, I needed mailers.

I just ordered 1,000 size 00 Kraft mailers.

    Two things, if you please:

One: I pointedly did NOT click the promotional email box, and hope I will get NO email unless it is relevant to my order. This order will do me for a long time to come.

Two: when I tried to pay with my credit card, I got a weird error message saying it was declined for some reason. Since I recently paid off the full balance, I know I'm nowhere near my limit on it. Therefore, I paid you with PayPal (edit- or maybe I didn't- hmm?), with the assumption that my credit card payment did not process. PLEASE make sure I do not get double-billed.

And thanks for the cheap mailers, the small discount, and the free shipping. That sold me because I was thinking about ordering anyway.

Good luck to y'all and in the future, just post on the WEEKLY SWAP thread here or the main BST Forum and you'll probably get a warmer reception.

  • Hello Robertson,

Thanks for the info and the order! Will make sure to post in the BST going forward.

I will email you why your 1st attempt was declined in email form.

Expect a special gift from us in your order that I am sure you will enjoy!

Take care and thanks again for the business!

    Ah, you're online. Excellent.

I tried PayPal and that didn't show up in my PP account, either- maybe I screwed something up.

But anyway, you have my CC info, so if I accidentally double- or triple-ordered, you now know I only wanted 1,000 pieces.

    Thanks!

I must have checked my PayPal account too soon after sending payment. I have the email from them now, so apparently that went through fine.

As to the custom avatar question, the opportunity to upload one only comes along once a month, on the 15th of every month.

At any other time, you will not see the option in your profile, but if you look in your profile on the 15th of the month during business hours Pacific time, you'll see a place to upload one. You must have a picture no bigger than 100 x 100 pixels and less than 10 kb in filesize.

If the 15th falls on a weekend or holiday, the moderators will usually open the custom avatar option the day before. We used to have unlimited privileges but too many people were uploading questionable pictures, so they yanked the privilege because the mods did not have time to police it. I suggested a compromise, whereby they could set aside one day a week (or month) when they DID have time to police it, and thus the tradition of Icon Upload Day and the 15th of the month was born.
