1801 S-219 3-errors reverse
Popular 3-errors reverse, die state B. Nice looking example, though not without some problems. The obverse shows some shallow pits in the field above Liberty's head, and there are faint (very thin) scratches in the hair. This may be the result of someone's feeble attempt to strengthen the design. They are not obvious without the aid of a glass. The reverse is nicer, but also shows similar scratches above 'STATES'. The color on both sides is an attractive chocolate brown. I do not believe that this piece has been recolored. Very scarce in higer grades.....$1810 or Best Offer
