Got to hand it to them, when you are 0-2 despiration time sets in and you got to get it done, well, they lost going into overtime but
they put up a great effort anyway.

In just his 5th season Eli Manning is not fully reached peak level yet. He is already a BIG TIME QB.

I don't even like the Giants but on every dropback I hold my breath. for example that duck he threw up that should have been picked at the end of the 4th or OT I can't remember which. When the Bengals DE hit his arm as he threw. Doesn't that stuff happen to Eli quite a bit? I mean he has thrown 17, 18, and 20 INT's the last 3 years. That's more than Favre and Favre scared the crap out of me as a Packer fan!
If Tyree wouldn't have made that catch would he even still be the Giants starter? He won the super bowl and now everyone is talking about him like a top 10 NFL QB, but 1 year ago today when the Giants were struggling early in the season I dont think they would have said that. Does one playoff run make a player?
I have nothing against the Giants or Eli Manning, but I thought he was an average NFL qb with questionable decision making skills. Has that changed all that much in the last few months?

1. You are a Pats fan
2. You are a Chargers fan
3. You are blind.
Tell me which one applies to you!
Oh, and YES, kids do grow up overnight seemingly ...... but the truth is Eli has made steady progression since he was a rookie and blossomed last year. It is very interesting how you mention Tyree's catch when you don't mention what it took for Eli to get out of a certain sack seconds before that throw. And to question if Eli would or would not be the Giants STARTER if not for that catch is borderline absurd. It really is man.

I don't know everything, this if the viewpoint from a casual NFL fan who sees 1 or 2 Giants games a year and watches sportscenter on sunday nights.
I am neither a Pats or Chargers fan, nor blind, I know plenty about the game of football sir.
In the 2nd half of last season, Eli threw 10 TD's and 9 INT's. I don't pretend to be an expert on NY Giants football.
I do see that he played VERY well in the playoffs. 6 TD's, 1 pick, and a ring.
However, the beginning of last years playoff run until today is 7 games. Seems like quite a jump to make in that kind of span. I thought the perception of Eli was a careless with the football semi-bust up until his playoff run. If it was not, then I apologize for the ignorance. If it was, then perhaps he shouldn't be anointed one of the star QB's of the league quite yet.

Its kind of foolish to even think otherwise.
Eli is a good QB, I will say that. I don't think he is BIG TIME, and I don't know if he will ever be considered great. But he has a ring, which is more than I can say about McNabb -- who I consider a very good, borderline excellent QB, but not great.
