K-276 HOSPITAL TRAIN F 2 (Lazarett Zug F 2). 1918, Cast Bronze, 101mm, 330g, As Cast, RRR.
To commemorate the career of hospital train F 2 dedicated by the Patriotic Womens Association Foundation, Mrs. Else Dürr, Leipzig.
Obverse: Else Dürr bust left, wearing hospital uniform with Service medals. “K Goetz” inscribed into truncated shoulder. Inscription: "Foundation Mrs. Else Dürr, Leipzig."
Reverse: Hospital train wends its way into the horizon. Else Dürr provides comfort to a wounded soldier while he awaits transport on the train. Perimeter inscription: "Association owned hospital train F 2 of the Patriotic Women's Association." In the upper left field "First trip January 1915 - Alexandrowo. Last trip November 15, 1918 - Villeforte." Inscription on center cross " Forward and upward' determined and upright." Inscription in exergue "Only love should govern this train, created by love. Because only love can fulfill its holy dedication."
