That link is some of the research on the detailed play by play data, which takes into account all the things fans have dreamed of knowing for years, and here it is.
There are of course many minor details or variables that still are not accounted for, and the position weighting is not at all solved(and the author admits as much), but I can say FOR ABSOLUTE certainty that this method is far and away better and more accurate than any 'traditional' method of player evaluation.
Then there is one on RBI and expected RBI...
