Grades posted.

I sent in my wife's 1941 and 1942 proof sets. We believe they were original. They were in Capitol Plastics holders.

I think the nickels would have bumped a grade if I dipped them. One had kinda neat toning if I remember so I wouldn't have dipped that one in any case. The Cents were a disappointment. I thought they would go 64. The silver was all at or within 1 point of what I expected. Considering it all I am happy with the results. The certified coins are worth more than the sets in Capitol holders after factoring in grading and shipping costs so it was a sound economic decision.

No offense to you Washington Quarter guys but these proofs don't look all that much different than well struck biz strike examples so seem a bit ho-hum to me. I guess you might say the same thing about the Jeffs but I am a proof Jeff guy and I like them just fine. image The dimes and halves are super looking! I'll post some photos when they arrive. I guess the cents are nothing special, and not worth all that much in these grades, but I like them anyway.
