New Personal Collection Website - Feedback Wanted

Hey guys, I am a huge Jackie Robinson fan. I had been using the domain jackierobinson.cc, but just bought the ".net" version a few weeks back. (Luckily the previous owner did not want too much for it)

Anyway, I thought now would be a great time to update the look of the site and start to add a lot of cards I had not put on the old site (mostly modern base cards) So here it is. I still have a lot to add and a few esthetic changes to make to some pages, but for the most part I am really happy with it. (I have only put up 7 pages of modern and have another 20 to go)

www.jackierobinson.net

If you do not mind, please post what Operating System and Browser you are using and if you experience any issues with my site. Thanks for looking and for any input you may have. -Jason

This is all I have found:

Type Two of the Star Cal Decal set features a decal package half the size of the W625-1 set, each sheet contains two decals, each of which is approximately half the size of the large decal found in the W625-1 set. Each decal package (sheet) measures 3 1/16" by 4 1/8". The set was issued by the Meyercord Company of Chicago and carries a catalog designation of W625-2.

The one I have is unfortunately not in the customary red packaging, but it is the only one I have ever seen as well.
  • Thanks for the info! Unfortunately it sounds like a card that I will never be able to afford. Welcome to the boards, by the way.

A fun web Jason - I enjoyed it.

I would like to do something with my collect - my brother is building the web for me - don't know when I'll put it in action.

    Thanx for sharing.

Funny you posted this...today, I've been trying to create a basic outline for my player collection site...registered as www.bighurtHOF.com...but no content yet...I really thought it would be much easier than it is...I honestly have no clue where to start...any tips would be appreciated. I really like what you have.

I really lucked out getting that domain name. I have only had it for a few weeks, and only put the site up about a week ago. I have been getting about 10 to 30 hits per day. Mostly from people seeing posts I have made in a few Forums like this. I have gotten maybe 5 hits a day from people searching on google, I really need to figure out how to get more search results finding my site. Thanks for the input!

Basically, more articles written (in text not in Flash) and more links to & from your site will be rewarded with higher search rankings. But if you're not in it to make money, I wouldn't worry over it too much.

card sold for 3900 this weekend in a live auction , unfortunately I was the underbidder and my phone proxy was not ideal , i was kicking myself about 10 seconds after the gavel fell.
  • That would have been sweet! Way more than i could afford right now, but a great card, whoever won it is very lucky indeed!

Jason , here are a few items I got in this week that I thought you would enjoy. you may want to add a reference page in addition to your items, would increase traffic if that was your goal.
