Goot's 2000 post contest

I didn't do a 1000 post contest because.....well I didn't. Anyways, I'm coming up on 2000 and figure it'd be fun to get in on the action and finally run one myself. I don't have the prizes finalized but I can assure you that they won't be anything amazing, sorry. Anyways, on to the contest..........

As a lot of you know, I'm a senior in high school this year and the one thing on most high school senior's minds is.........(other than the opposite sex).......college! Over the past few weeks I've been working on applications and am at the point where I'm about to send them, and my transcripts off.

Here are the schools I'm applying to (yes, I like big and cheap FL public schools image ):

Florida State University
Univ. of Florida
Univ. of Central Florida
Univ. of South Florida

Here are the rules: I want you guys to predict which school's I'll get into and which schools I won't (a simple yes or no is all that's needed and don't worry about hurting my feelings). One guess per person. Whoever guesses the most CORRECTLY (doesn't matter if I get in or not) will win the contest and the cards.

Since there are only a few answers to each one, here's the tiebreaker, which will probably be used.

Guess my SAT score, out of 1600:

example- 680

Second Tiebreaker.
Guess my high school GPA (on the 4.0 scale), down to the hundreths place:

example- 1.75

This will probably take a couple of months for the contest to finally end since I'll be waiting on the colleges for an answer, but I'll update the thread with each bit of news I get.


(since I'm an amateur at this stuff, if anyone has some small suggestions on rules, I'm all ears)

    As a Chamberlain HS grad in Tampa - I went in the Army first - then went to school - my last degree - Columbia U in NYC.

    Wish I could've gone to school in FLA!

    Just checked my email and BAM! ACCEPTED to University of Central Florida......1 down, 3 to go! Not sure if I'll end up there yet, or not, but it sure is a nice feeling to know I've got a home in Orlando for next year if nothing else works out.

    I should be finding out from USF within a few weeks, but UF and FSU are quite a wait away. UCF and USF let you know the second they review your app, but FSU and UF decide to wait until one, predetermined, notification date.

    I got into University of South Florida!!!! This is the big one for me because going there puts me into a great position to fulfill my goals. I'm majoring in Environmental Policy and they're the only Florida school with Environmental POLICY as an undergrad degree. Then, I plan on getting my masters there ,in Environmental Law, which will be followed by me (hopefully) attending law school. If I didn't get into USF, I'd likely be bouncing from school to school.

    I'm about 99% sure that this is where I'll be next August....image
