Can anybody help me with a couple of measurements of a card ?

I have something thats very confusing to me, and I need someones help.

Can anybody who has some loose
(not in slabs, so you can get the ruler right on the card)
1984 TOPPS FOOTBALL cards,
measure the height & width of the front pictured portion only

from the very outer black line to black line black border edges
(to include the thicknesses of the black lines as well)

I need the height & width
&
I'm looking for measurements to be as close as possible (to the 32's of an inch if possible)

I have graded ones, but dont have any loose cards

thanks

    Okay, thanks to Howie Long:

Height 3-9/32 (includes 1/32 border on each side) or 3-7/32 without the border
Width 2-1/4 (includes 1/32 border on each side) or 2-3/16 without the border

Used an old micrometer so it's pretty close.

I guess you had the micrometer out to measure Tavaris Jackson's passing yardage, eh?

Gotta try to get those cuts just right for BGS, I guess... image

I've heard they've tightened up and actually want sheet cuts and trims to measure up, now. Imagine that. Maybe they finally learned how to use a ruler! image

Are you trying to suggest that 1984 Topps Football cards don't measure 2.75 by 3.75?
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.

But I would think that would suggest sacrificing the 8 cards surrounding the 2 3/4 x 3 3/4 card on the sheet. Maybe it has something to do with the US/Canadian exchange rate? image
