i was not interested in bidding on any half eagles so therefore i do not pay much attention. nothing rare enough in a low enough grade i could afford. 1859-69 lib half eagles.
I won a nice Hard Times Token at a sweet price it was a LOT nicer then the ex F.C. Boyd / Ford / Wiseman and the Garrett / Julian Leidman / Dice Hicks examples and 1/4 to 1/2 less the both as it has no prior pedigree
To Err Is Human.... To Collect Err's Is Just Too Much Darn Tootin Fun!
I am bidding on one proof for the collection (1956 Lincoln PR68 DCam) and selling about 25 spares. The prebidding on the spares is pretty strong given the happenings in the stock market. Although, my spares are very strong in appearance. I will be watching and bidding.

<< <i>$1092.00 and it ain't even an original set! >>
Actually, I'm pretty sure it is an original set. I've seen enough different combinations of medals in the four-piece set that I thinkthey must have sold it as a box plus "pick four medals out of this group".

Original set , not a mix and match as seen in the above lot:

I know this was not the case, but don't believe me, ask QDB himself, he is the real expert.
