I think this coin is way undergraded and probably sold for AU58 money.

Anyone else agree?

1876-S Trade Dollar
Always looking for attractive rim toned Morgan and Peace dollars in PCGS or (older) ANA/ANACS holders!

    IMHO the coin had some surface issues and the reverse bubbled toning what questional image

    With that old ANACS holder, undergrading is certainly a possibility however I don't know that I care for the toning on that coin.
    I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    lol... the nicks could be distracting, but the toning is original and not all that ugly... IMHO

    I wasn't willing to go anywhere close that final price anyway... would have loved to see it in hand...

    Oh my! That is classic ANACs insert toning. I have an 1878 8TF Morgan in an early classic ANACs holder that looks alike. Some claim that the inserts(label) had a very volatile ink printed on them, which caused the intense peripheral color to develop.
