    TO MAKE MONEY WITH.... ;>

    SLV is:

    1) fast

    2) easy

    3) convenient

    4) low transaction costs

    5) unknown level of risk

    Vegas is:

    1) more fun

Yes SLV is fine as long as they have all the silver backed and there's no run on it. I myself don't trust any wall street funds with my PM's but if it were in my 401k I'd trade it.

storm888's short position in SLV must be getting a bit uncomfortable here.

I don't intend to remain in it long enough to do that.

I will collect the profit and buy some Gold with it.

As well as a nice tax write-off, you can never have too much of those.
"Lenin is certainly right. There is no subtler or more severe means of overturning the existing basis of society(destroy capitalism) than to debauch the currency. The process engages all the hidden forces of economic law on the side of destruction, and it does it in a manner which not one man in a million is able to diagnose."

  • Gosh, time to take off 1/3 of my shares off the table.

CB, that would be a very nice buy

Lets see one is an investment with millions of liquidity that has a transparent market, that can be sold quickly and effortlessly, another is a bag of coins with some guy sitting in a chair next to an old vault acting as a middle man with perhaps a few thousand clams and and an unknown mark untill the offer is made.

I went with SLV .... I didn't quite get your price, but I didn't do too badlyimage
  • Thanks BL, but I was planning to be out of this trade with the balance of the shares at $12.08.

But now with the new Short Sale Rule coming into effect, lets see if I get a fill tomorrow or Friday at $12.62!

His approach is to short MORE into a rise like this. At least, that was my understanding.

Like a moth to a flame, goes Coinboy to SLV......

At these prices, I'm torn between the Mint's discontinued bullion coins and a green monster box. Given the premiums involved in ASEs, the Mint premiums on those Gold Buffs and AGEs, and a few extra Plats are looking a little less punishing at the moment.

Come on, cash flow. One more time!

Good luck with your gambit, Coinboy.
