How nice of the US Mint

to go to those nice holders we all love so much. You know what I'm talking about. The 07 and 08 mintsets come in them. Like hard plastic bubblewrap?? Ohhhh they are so wonderful (NOT!) I always thought it was the Chi-Coms way of frustrating America. You know, super cheapo products in wrappers ya gotta have an ax or scissors to get into. What are manufactures thinking about?? I always thought the customer was king. Not any more. Heck with the customers, I'll put it in the cheapest package that is the hardest to get into. Oh well. At least the state quarter program is done and I won't HAVE to order another unless I just want to. What do youall think about the new (imporved?) mint packaging??

<< <i>I don't really care for the new Mint Set Packaging but I'm sure they'll get rid of it if enough people complain. >>
I would go along with this, but will point out the new packaging is more protective than an envelope and mylar. So the new packs are good for those NOT breaking up a set.
(Priest) BLASPHEMY he said it again, did you hear him?

Well, it seems to me that the mylar along with the cardboard separator and the envelope would offer just as much protection as that plastic. Especially where the edges of the coins are concerned since the current plastic has the reverses sticking up just waiting to get banged and damaged. At the very least, the plastic seal would be compromised.
I am not a fan of this particular design.
Where's that packaging thread anyway?

Eight pennies, four nickels, one dime, seventeen quarters, one half dollar and fourty two dollar coins. That's what well see in the 2020 uncirculated mint set. And that's just philadelphia. In the year 2020, we'll have the Denver, Vancouver and Tijuana mints as well.
