1877 indian compared to 1895.....?

I understand that from 1859-1886 that the last feather of the headdress points between the I and C and from mid 1886-1909, it points between the C and A. Are there any other differences between these two groups, such as Miss Liberty's features? Or was the same portrait just turned a bit? ......just curious.
Thanks

Good question. Beyond determining the difference between Type 1 and Type 2 coins (the mid-1886 shift), I don't know.

The answer probably delves into die characteristics and so on that are more the realm of the Indian cent specialists. You'll find them on the US Coins forum.

    I kinda figgered that. image

No worries- IHC are world coins, too. But if you want really specialized info on 'em, you're better talking to the IHC gurus, who of course seldom come to visit over here on the Darkside.
