OT: Really Bad Commuter Train Crash Here In L.A.

Hi guys. A really bad train crash happened today here in L.A. A commuter train was involved in a head-on collision with a freight train. I used to ride that train everyday for two years (though not that particular line) when I worked in downtown L.A. Accounts vary, but at least 15 are reported dead and 70 are injured. My thoughts and prayers go out to all those involved. Man, this is horrible.

I caught some of the coverage on CNN and Fox News in between the hurricane coverage and it just looks terrible. The news media was reporting the trains were going approx. 55 and 45 when they collided, truly shocking video. I send my thoughts and prayers to the folks that survived and my sincere condolences to the families of those that perished.

My God, that's horrible. It's incredible that two trains traveling at this rate of speed could collide like that. Someone must have been asleep at the switch.

That's a horrible crash. I pray for all of the deceased & surviving victims, their family members, friends, and all of the great rescuers involved at the scene.

I used to ride my mountain bike right where the crash happened and I remember the trains were always moving really fast in that area. I wouldn't doubt they were going 45-55mph. I certainly hope they can get something positive from the crash and make a big improvement in train safety.
