A big 'merci beaucoup' to Mr. Nick.

Nick and I were exchanging PM's a few days ago when I mentioned how impressed I was with his T218 set, and how I hoped he would let me know if he ever upgraded the cards that pictured bowlers since I wanted a chance to buy his 'leftovers'. At this point he, completely without warning, offered to send me copies of the three bowling cards in this set-- free of charge.
These are, in my opinion, three of the coolest looking cards ever made, and if there's any downside to now owning them it's the keen sense of embarrassment I feel for not having owned them already. So, thank you again Herr Nick! These are dynamite cards, and I definitely owe you one.

Bowling you say? You can take the boy out of Ypsilanti, but you can't take the Ypsilanti out of the boy . . .
Nice job Nick. By the way, if you ever upgrade the cards that picture golfers . . .

Funny you should mention that, because another thing I gleaned from our PM's is that Nick is without question a better bowler than I. I've averaged between 204-210 for the past four years, but apparently Nick was considering going pro in the mid 90's, which means he can certainly do better than a 620 every Friday on a house oil pattern.
Some guy from New York is a better bowler than I, Tom. Does that mean I have to turn in my fat-guy-from-Michigan card at the counter on Monday?
<< <i>Sorry this happened to you >>
I'm definitely quitting the hobby because of it.

I tied my own shoes once. It is an overrated experience.
Im upset that Nick doesnt have more bowling cards to share.
Who is Nick?
What is bowling?
What does merci beaucoup mean?

Hmm, tough one there Boo. While I haven't pondered it, I wouldn't imagine that it is at all embarassing to be a worse bowler than a New Yorker. Here's the way I look at it: It could be worse, you could be someone like myself who has the same score in bowling and golf, that being a 117. Coincidentally, .117 is also my softball batting average.
Or, you could be like lawnmowerman and collect the T218 swimming cards instead of the bowling cards.
Only kidding, I do show them the cards and they like to see that their efforts compared to the efforts of the featured athletes from almost a century ago.

Ya... that'll be "Mr. Nick" to his friends.
