Unopened pack collection

One forum user who greatly assisted in my wax, rack and cello run I am trying to complete from 1973-1998, asked to see what I had so far. First, I am not wealthy and can not afford to buy some of the more expensive packs right now. Second, despite what many here think, I do have some self control regarding unopened packs. I usually buy two of everything so I can keep one and open one. Doesn't always work. Anyway, here is what I have that I have managed to refrain from opening. May not be quite as extravagant as some other users on here. But, I took the pics on my bed where my wife sleeps naked.

Very cool...I'm not so good at keeping wax sealed. Currently I have one of every pack made in 1983 (pending receipt of the '83 OPC hockey pack from a board member). The others are already encased in a large top loader and sealed in team bags...kind of like my electric fence. They will soon be framed in a shaddow box.

Nothing like a bed loaded with unopened packs, nice stuff. I couldn't see your wife either.
  • Bill,
If I ever use the bed where my Wife sleeps naked to take a picture of my unopened wax, well the moral of the story is, I won't be sleeping there, unless of course its with my Packs. And I will have to admit as much as I love Unopened Wax, it will never compare to Opened Wife..Naked!!!!!!image

  • My wife went out tonight with some friends. So while she was gone I had some private time with my packs. It was a very special moment.

I say go ahead and rip everything.

  • Nice. I noticed the other day on eBay they have cheap thin plastic cases for wax packs now. Would not be cool as having them slabbed (but likely a lot cheaper...and a good pay out/coolness factor.

  • Bill,
Funny that your Wife is out, so is mine, she is at the once a month "Bunko" thing, the reason I have so much time for these threads right now. And I hope there is nothing your keeping from her and the use of your guy's bed with packs while she is gone. I have to be honest, when I get the chance on our bed, it usually involves Hustler, Busty, High Society and a few other things!!! Cards are not involved!!!!

very nice. I hope my pack collection can be like that one day. I think in the future the value of unopened packs will continue to rise faster then graded individule cards.

Very nice collection you have there, enjoy it and be proud of your dicipline! I had a collection that looked about a quarter of that size but I couldn't resist and ..................... ripped them all, but I did it a little at a time.
