beware ebay sellers that....

I have noticed on the bay lately that some sellers are trying to sell their common 2008w silver eagle ms slabbed coins at a little bit over
average pricing, while showing (slightly unfocused or angled or long shot) a picture of a 2007 reverse, giving you the thought that you
might have come across a coin that was slabbed prior to the Nanney discovery unbenown to the seller and that you would get it at a
great price. The thing is, the seller is the one manipulating the situation so they can get more for their regular 2008w issue than they
would under honest means....probably on average of $20-$30 more. The reason I'm writing this is I just went through this experience,
emailed the seller several times to confirm what I was buying was the exact same coin as pictured both obverse and reverse as pictured in
the ad. I was told that I would receive a similar coin but they didn't really have that particular coin to send. I cancelled my bid.
Then tonight, scanning the bay, I see an ICG ms70 2008w with the 2007 reverse pictured for the same common stock money. Just a heads
up to make sure you communicate with the seller specifically about details like this before you get hoodwinked into paying extra for a
regular issue 2008w silver eagle....good luck...I still think that somewhere out there exists such a coin...slabbed before the discovery...and
I'm going to keep searching!

Unfortunately, this is not the first time this has occured as one fellow, back in mid May, was selling regular old self slabbed 2008's which showed the 2007 reverse. I think the BIN was like 19.95 or something like that. Needless to say, there was nothing special about what was delivered.
