Grades popped...12 Card CC
The two cards that didn't grade were cracked from a GAI Holders. Then again that Griffey SPX made my day, the first non Rookie Modern Card I have graded.

<< <i>Once again I will ask this, why is it always the highest "book value" cards that always end up not being slabbed? >>
Because higher BV cards are probably more likely to be altered than lower BV cards.
<< <i>But the two not slabbed were ex-GAI cards...meaning MIKE BAKER probably graded them. While I do have good regard for PSA graders (for the most part....the problems are a different thread altogether), I dont believe any can touch Baker in regards to grading abilities. >>
So, are you saying that PSA just happened to get those 2 wrong, or that Baker knowingly let a recolored and a trimmed card slide into GAI holders?

I don't know what he's getting at, but IMExperience PSA never gets an N3 wrong. Every card I've ever had rejected for that reason has shown very clear signs of being recolored under magnification. Unlike the N1 designation-- which is hit or miss in terms of accuracy-- they don't tag a card with an N3 just because 'something doesn't look right'.
Also, I would simply add that almost all high dollar GAI cards are in those holders for a reason. No dealer is just going to give away equity by putting a card in a GAI holder for the hell of it, and most grading newbies will probably find their way to BGS. Does it mean that all GAI cards have been altered? No. But I would be quite surprised to discover that most of them haven't at some point been rejected by either PSA or BGS for one reason or another.
