1997 Inscriptions Variation?

Has anyone ever heard of not numbered variations in the 1997 Pinnacle Inscriptions? I imagine if they followed the same pattern they did with every other numbered insert, they left card unnumbered, in case of replacement or the like. All of these cards have pretty much made it on the market thanks to the bankruptcy sale.
Anyway, here are two Young inscriptions I have. (The numbered one being the worst certified Steve Young auto I have seem...something I would have labeled likely fake).

Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.

<< <i>Not sure on that, though these are the second year version of the Incsriptions set, right?? If I remember the first year set had a ton of autos that ended up fading very badly on the cards. >>
Yeah, that is the second year. The auto on the front on the non-numbered one is bolder then the other, and the numbered box spot is textured a little.
Note: I am not saying the one card was issued/released not numbered, only it didn't fade off. Either it was not numbered, or someone used something to remove the number.
