planchet error help please

how can I tell if a penny is brass or bronze for sure
I have ones just like these in the pics, yet a dealer said it was copper.

  • drop them on a counter and listen for a difference in the tone of the noise.

    Many of those "Brass Planchet" coins,
    raw or ANACS certified, are simply
    impropermetal mixture'd planchets.

    Brass streaks, lighter than copper color,
    but not necessarily on a full 'brass planchet'.

    There is a big difference.
