Ebay buyer....

This guy has left me probably around 9-10 messages about feedback. I usually do feedback in one clump. Today I get this:
"I'm asking one more time to return the positive feedback I left for you on this item. I really think that it is right to give as well as receive. Thanks."
Now, I agree that feedback is important for a seller, but for a buyer to respond this way doesn't make sense to me. I mean, all I can do is leave a positive. It's not like I have any other course of action if the deal went bad. Is it just me, or do buyers seem more like babies these days? I could be wrong or making a mountain out of a mole hill.
Again, I do believe in returning positive feedback if left, but why the need for 10 messages over this and then this one that seems to be a guilt trip?

Guy sends me 10 emails for feedback will expect not to get any.
I do feedback when i want to do it, not when I am told to do it.
many times I do it at the POS, other times I'll do it 2 weeks later, still other times I may never do it.
Feedback is not mandatory.

"The president and congress won’t invade a foreign country unless the upper class can profit from such action."
is to leave FB immediately upon payment.
The well-tested message is: "Fast Payment....... 5-Star EBAYer........ Thank You."
(The "5-star" comment DOES increase sellers' stars.)
...........
Some buyers need to build FB quickly so that they can become sellers.
Some buyers are simply CRAZY as LOONS and will ding your stars if you
don't leave rapid FB.
.............
If the deal goes bad after FB is left, simply leave a professional reply to
the buyer's comment.

The old system worked fine. This one does not work at all. BUT, it is
the one that we are stuck with.
Since Ebay's new FB policy went into effect, I don't have any choice but to leave FB
immediately upon payment with the very similar statement of "5 Star Ebayer...rapid pay; hope to deal again A+"
This is to hopefully induce or coax the buyer to doing the same thing when he/she receives the item.
You can't control the crazies out there. You did your part and hopefully it runs smooth. Do not ask/beg
buyers for FB; cos the crazies may come out. Just hope for the best and move on.
Now recently, as a buyer I'm getting ticked off. I pay within minutes of winning and 80% of sellers don't
leave FB. I feel like sending them a copy of ebay's feedback page. I'm not nuts; but there are buyers out
there that will just slam you if they ask once and you don't give FB, they may just ding you with a neg and
hurt your star rating as well.
It is in the same email I send when I tell them item will ship the next day.
Feedback is not the only venue a seller can thank a buyer.
I also include a thank you note in the package.
Feedback is left at my convience. <sp>

<< <i>Not a big deal. If you noticed you received a positive feedback from the guy, you should take the 20 seconds to return the favor. It is common courtesy and goes a long way to build buyer good will. >>
Agreed! In the time it took the OP to write this post, couldn't he just have left feedback and have been done with it?
Who cares that it took me longer to type out the original post. That's not what this was about.
THE POINT: Buyers are getting more and more weird on ebay. Not all buyers, but a good majority.
<< <i>No no no...some of you aren't getting it. I never mind leaving feedback. But it was the 10 messages "insisting" that I leave it that was bothering me. I agree, if a buyer is good then leave positive feedback.

I think we get it. he bought the item, paid for it, he received it, he left you feedback. just leave it for him in return. maybe you will make his day or even his entire weekend...who really cares. you made a post - I take it you wanted responses to your post - some you like and some you don't like but you get to have both or don't make the post.

I really have to agree. I would either leave + feedback and/or move on. It would have taken a few seconds to leave feedback, so I would have went that route. If it really bothered you the 3rd or 4th e-mail, you should have left him feedback and told him something like, "Sorry about that, was going to get it this weekend." Regardless if such was true or not. It would over and done. Then if it really stressed you, you could block the guy.
It is not like the guy ripped you off or cheated you in any manner. Was he annoying, sounds like he was, well so are a lot of people. So you can set around and be annoyed or move on, in this case leaving him feedback to avoid the 11th annoying e-mail.
Clear Skies,
Mark
