I saw that a couple weeks ago, but can't believe they missed the swimming quotes. During all of the medley events, they would point out who was the best at different strokes and say "he/she is the best breast stroker of the bunch." I giggled every time.

I was watching diving and when the Canadian female divers went the woman announcer said some thing like "as you can see the Canadians are nowhere near as streamlined as the Chinese" two dives later and the same "larger" Canadian girl dove the announcer said, after she hit the water, "oooooh that was a tidal wave!"

Hilarious though they may be these are NOT quotes from the 2008 Olympics.


...but I did here this gem during the male synchronized diving. The male commentator asked the expert female commentator why the divers went into a shower after their dives.

"The lady announcer actually answered the question about showering with this gem "The pool water is cold, so they take a shower to warm up, stay loose, and have fun."
