I only thought I had seen it all

Looking around ebay I thought I had found the ultimate, the extremely rare 1953 Scottish Crest Shilling for the BIN price of $995.00.

But then I found the even rarer 1953 Florin in PR66 for only $2,995, hope I can save up enough to get this one before someone else steals it.

Toning goes to peoples' heads, like paint fumes.

I've seen plenty of other examples.

I would post one link I found on the BST, but will respectfully not ridicule another member's offerings and pricing.

It's just a symptom of the craze. It was bound to spill over into the Darkside a bit.

That IS a lovely coin, though.

And I would even consider buying it.

... if the decimal point moved a few places to the left.
