Need help with some non sports. Zoo's who and shock theatre?

I found some wax packs made by topps.

I did some research and came up with 1975 shock theatre test pack. I see a full box in a ebay store for $1700obo with no offers. Trying to find and actual recorded sale prices. I have about 1/2 a box.

The 2nd one is a 1975 Zoo's Who 10cent pack. Cant find any pricing on the web. Any help would be appreciated.

here are some scans.

I like the idea of the sticker on the seal of the shock theater pack.

I checked out the registry and pop reports and it looks like only a handful have ever been graded which means one of two things. Nobody gives a crap about this set or its really tough to find...lol (no sets are registered)

The zoo's who is nowhere to be found.
  • The Zoo's Who pack has been resealed. It is a big target for pack searchers. It was a good year for the Panda Bear rookie card even though the Koala got the big contract amd ended up as the spokesperson for the set.

I would also recommend asking Neil.

Ignore the hype, the Koala bear has a bad arm. Can you say Todd Van Poppel? They will be bargain box cards in a bear season or two.

Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.

If you decide to bust in and grade the singles, I am paying strong prices for the Emu and Gazelle both in PSA 10. Email me at Exit 114 on the Garden State Parkway.

I am pretty sure the Gazelle would be a pop 1. Emu's have been on ebay a lot the last year so I will probably wait until there was a marcupial special by psa.

I tried e-mailing you at Exit 114 on the Garden State Parkway but the e-mail got forwarded to Route 9 south. Hopefully it will get there eventually.
  • Those are cool. I've never even heard of either of them.

I think Neil (thedutymon) was on earlier today. Maybe he didn't see this thread.
  • Good day,
    I'm here,
Good ones from everybody on the Zoo's Who!!!
The Shock Theatre of one of those Hype Issues where it as called by some as a test issue, my only problem with that test issue designation, is it is my understanding is that millions of boxes were sold as a test run on the East Coast, so where is the test in that? To me a test run would tend to be just a tad smaller.
Iv'e bought and sold boxes, packs, cards, and wrappers. a year ago I got a stack of 100 wrappers and was selling them for $9.99 each, then $4.99 each, then 3.99 each, then .99 each, you get the story!
Cards sell for $1-10 bucks depending on if you get two idiots...Er... I mean Great E-Bayers to bid against each other.
$1700 for a box, that's priceless !!!! Ha Ha, I think I paid $175 for the last box I had two-three years ago, and lost money on it!!!!!!
Roger my advice would be that if any of the packs are worth grading, stash them until the next PSA grading special ($10 per pack), be the first to get them graded, jump on it and you can probably sell them for $30-$40 a pack. If that doesn't work, sell a few unopened, maybe $15-$25 and open the rest and sell the cards individually.

The Zoo's Who's are worthless, maybe $1 a pack, not a super high distribution, don't know if it was only regional or what, but the key here is Nobody collects those!!! Unless, and here's an idea, you could grade them out and get some GEM MINT 10's and sell them to all the comedians on this threadimage

    Neil
Actually Collect Non Sport, but am just so full of myself I post all over the place !!!!!!!
