Do you think these will slab?

I just bought four different planchet strips from Germany:

* 1 Pfennig
* 2 Pfennig
* 5 Pfennig
* 10 Pfennig

They will include an example of the coin minted from them.



I don't know where I'm going to keep them, but I though I might get them framed with the coins in one of the centre of the holes for as an example.
I don't know what Mrs S. will say, but I've got a feeling she won't be very happy with me hanging them on the walls.

Would the coin still fit in one of the holes after it has been minted? I would think that would make it somewhat wider. Either way, those are pretty cool.

I think the seller said he would send blank planchet's. If it is the coins, then they won't fit.

I was pretty sure the question was rhetorical but you never know sometimes.

I recived them today and the minted coins DO fit perfectly into the slots. I was under the impression that when a planchet was struck into a coin the size of the coin was slightly larger then the planchet. Maybe I was wrong after all. Or maybe German minting techniques are different.
Neat items though. Now to get them framed up.
