Question: What coins circulated in Spain around 1924?

I read a novel set in Spain in 1924 where the author mentioned some Spanish coins paid for services.

However, I looked up an old Yeoman book and couldn't find any that matched what was in the novel.

Should be coinage of Alfonso XIII, but there are many different types/denominations.

New small change began coming out in 1925. The dates below were the last date that these denomination coins were issued until at least 1925:
1 centimo 1913, bronze
2 c 1912
5 c 1879
10 c 1879
50 c 1910, 83.5% silver
1 Peseta 1905
2 P 1905
20 P 1904, 90% gold

I guess my question is whether the Spanish Mints continued to strike the older coins
into the 1920's or went to paper money?

More recently, during the Franco era, Spain would strike coins with a public date
and then a much smaller real date on the coin.
