  • Looks like a O-101, 1822/1 R-1
    High 8 in date
Star 7 points at juncture of headband and cap,
Star 13 just above the curve of the curl.
T to I relationship looks right.
    Yes, it looks cleaned.
  • Thanks...I was hoping for an overdate. Not bad for $50. Even if cleaned, I might be able to get it into an Anacs holder. I'm just putting my

toe in the water, so to speak, on these bust halves. It's only my second one. My other coin is an unmolested vf 1829/7 which was a

complete surprise to me when I received it. I love the design of the piece, especially the reverse eagle. Better samples are way beyond

my reach budget-wise. So, I search for vf samples at lower prices that have a "look" about them... I suspected this had some cleaning,

but there's still alot of history (read...original grime) left on it...I will enjoy it very much, even if I decide to keep it in the raw state.

Thanks again for your input....any other comments...or possible a published picture of this variety for comparison purposes would be

    greatly appreciated. image
