All I can say is "Wow".
This will certainly be an appreciated addition to my numismatic library.
Thanks Steve, for publishing this monumental work.

Here is Steve's website for more information on this fine book.

    Early US Quarters
I collect Capped Bust series by variety in PCGS AU/MS grades.
  • There is more useful and accurate information included in this work than most collectors will ever want or need to know. It's that good!

The "Early United States Quarters" book by Steve Tompkins will help everyone learn about early American numismatic history, and have an enjoyable time doing so.

It is a most welcome addition to any numismatic library, and will become the new standard reference.

Thanks guys for the words of encouragement!

I am glad the books are finally getting into the hands of collectors. I have been shipping out orders as fast as I can, but work got in the way more this last week than I had wanted.

The final batch of the pre-orders will be shipped out on Tuesday, so everyone who has ordered one should see it soon.

Thanks everyone for your patience, and your support!

    Enjoy the book!

Got mine Saturday, and I have to say I was not disappointed! Enjoyed reading through it this past weekend tremendously. Besides the high quality of the research content, the the physical appearance of the book is also of high quality, with large, beautiful color plates. Now if only I had some coins to attribute besides the few I own....

Got mine today. Excellent Book Steve. This book blows the Browning reference away and relegates it now to insignifigence. I think that the Browning work is now obsolete and i will either sell mine or have a giveaway.
I love the quick reference guides and large clear pictures. This book will become the new standard reference if it isn't already. Anyone who collects bust quarters needs this book. I suggest buying it now as once supplies dry up it will increase in value. Bob

I hope it arrives within a week or two...that's about when you will be snowed in until next June, right?

If you didn't live so far away from everything (and I didn't live in exactly the opposite end of the world) it would have been there by now! image

Seriously my friend, it should be there any day. Be sure to let us all know when it arrives!

Steve, I am just yanking your chain. I know it will arrive soon, and I look forward to receiving it. It will make a nice winter's read, before we get snowed in, as Barndog states. Summers are very short up here in Maine. Last year it was on a Tuesday. image

I notice that Barndog makes his residence in the central southern part of the US, coincidently exactly in the middle between you and I...

I think last year his winter came on a thursday! image

I also might add that he sent in payment for the book over two months before you did, so the difference in delivery time is not too bad...image

Thanks to a fortuitous break in the weather, the sled dogs were able to get through with the U.S. Mail, and I finally received my copy of the Bust Quarter book yesterday. I spent an enjoyable evening last night reading the introductory chapters, learning how to best use the book, and admiring the beautiful quarters plated in the book. Kudos to Steve Tompkins for the excellent job he has done in researching and presenting this beautiful series. We finally now have recent and updated reference books on all of the early Federal series of coins, something that has been desperately needed for too long. I look forward to many more evenings of enjoyment and education. Thanks, Steve.

    Steve,
Glad it finally arrived, those sled dogs must have been really tired after the long trip across the country! image

Enjoy spending the weekend with it!

A friend of mine just got it, and allowed me to peruse it last weekend. A simply amazing piece of work.

Can we order on that website? I want one! I was diagnosed with an aortic dissection two weeks ago so my corporate aspiration following retirement from my current job are gone. So what I've decided to do is become a student of numismatics for the next 12 years until my retirement date and maybe getting into coin dealership or even consignment.
