I see what you mean... however, it will depend on what you are selling. If bullion related, especially in a hot silver market, I could see the benifits.
Depends on what the starting bid is. If you're selling a $10 coin, and the bidding starts at $10, it doesn't seem like too bad of an idea. If the starting bid is $5 for the same $10 coin, then it wouldn't be worth it.

Probably not but then I could see bids going up at minimum bid.
Also, what would the cut off point be? Bidders 1 & 2? 1, 2 & 3?
