What a nice surprise when I checked the PCGS Certification # Verification on my 1824 CBH

It now displays the mintage and PCGS Price Guide Value............very nice touch.

Thanks PCGS for innovating your Website. image

It'd be real nice if they could link a pop report right there too.

The mintage is still something I like about the old PCI slabs.

That's cool, but last I checked, there isn't an AU55 price bracket on the PCGS priceguide, like there is on Numismedia?

Is that prorated somehow; bumped up a tad from the PCGS priceguide's AU50 quote, or is it the AU50 quote?

Great looking coin. The "Crust Lovers" have rubbed off on me and I am now beginning to seek out more greyness in my old silver, but I still do like a white Bust half, no matter what the naysayers have to say on the matter. (Usually it's "nay".)

If there is luster involved, a white Bustie is nice to behold, in my humble opinion, no matter how "original" or not it may be. And yours is not scrubby, dippy white... it has just enough mellowing to make it respectable, while retaining that nice look and, I'll bet, luster.

    My Dear Lordmarcovan,

You must have a valid "descriptive" numismatic license in hand.

I thoroughly enjoy how you "paint a picture" in your posts!!! image
