maybe theres different variations of the same card. whats written in the memorable moments is different on each card. like the different color 1 of 1 printing plates in some sets.

They did that on the SPX football this year. I guess overall I don't mind. I picked up a few "1 of 1" stars for under $10, and a couple nobody's for around $5, for possible future trade bait. I do see how this could annoy a good portion of the hobby.
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards. Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
<< <i>never pulled a 1 of 1 so i probably wouldn't mind all that much of there was a couple other variations floating around. >>
Here is what the 2008 SPX Football 1 of 1's look like, note the text box.

It is hard not to agree. I imagine if I was a modern PC, I would avoid them and buy an auto, even if a double, if prices around the same...which I imagine is true with 80% of the players. Like Wes Walker auto vrs. Wes Walker cheesy 1 of 1.

Yes, these card companies are really smart. They make variations with very minute differences, and call them 1 of 1's. However, while they still are 1 of 1's, the variations could really make them 1 of 250. (Or more)
