GREY FLANNEL -- THIRD ANNUAL BASKETBALL HALL OF FAME AUCTION

I just began looking at the lots in this auction and it's going to be a while before I can close my mouth.

Holy memorabilia.

Interested in other reactions.

you'd be surprised at the # of items they had to already remove from the auction due to questionable authenticity
Successful dealings with Wcsportscards94558, EagleEyeKid, SamsGirl214, Volver, DwayneDrain, Oaksey25, Griffins, Cardfan07, Etc.

I don't even get the catalogs anymore, I wonder why?

Wait a minute, I gotta go find my whistle....

Didn't know you were a memorabilia guy Marc. I used to work for Grey Flannel auctions. Was the head copywriter for a couple of catalogs back in '02.
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."
  • Well now....

I subscribe to the auction email service and the Grey Flannel auction was among those included.

I am always interested in the memorabilia for historical purposes. I mean cards are one thing, but the uniforms and equipment, that is the game.

I guess now I know why the stuff is in their auction and not somebody else's.
