This card hurt to get rid of - what card hurt you the most to lose?

I bought this a few days after he came in for Drew Bledsoe and paid $50 for it - then later had it graded as one of my 6 freebie subs. I've since watched every local televised Cowboys game and became a big Romo fan. I'm only selling this and my other Romo stuff because I need the money right now for various school related bills. Of all the sales I've had, this is the one I feel I will always regret because I really liked the card. Anyways, I'll probably regret this more if he does well and wins the Super Bowl - and it would go up more and make me even more upset. Anyways, it was still a decent profit. What is the one card each of you regret getting rid of the most?

  • My regrets are two cards from the same case, 2001 Leaf Rookies & Stars. One was a Pujols Slideshow GU'd jersey rookie #'d/25 and a Pujols auto rookie limited to 50. Pulled both from same case in 2002 just as he was starting to get recognition. The Slideshow card sold for about $150 and the auto went for about $200 or so. The auto card is probably sitting in a PSA 9 or 10 holder now. Have no idea what they sell for because I have not seen one raw or graded on eBay in a while.

Edit to add: I opened three cases and wish I had saved the other 2 cases. They were only selling for about $40-50 a box then. Now they sell for $90-100 per box. I couldn't help myself. I wanted all the Mark Prior rookies I could find.

I sold my 2003 SP Authentic Tony Romo Auto RC for $.99 plus shipping about a year ago. I held it for 4 years because I had seen him play before and thought he was the real deal. After a while, I guess I just gave up on waiting. Ugh.

OUCH!! I would try to erase that from my memory.

I don't think I have any regrets about cards I've sold - mine are all about the ones I wish I had sold but didn't.

I agree..I have a list as long as my arm like that.

I guess the only card that I've thought about lately that I regretted selling was a 1992 Stadium Club Favre back when that set first came out. I bought a high number set and sold it the following weekend for about a $10 profit. I was pretty happy about it at the time.
