Any recourse if you pay wiith Money order or cashiers check?

Large ticket item 1k plus..........seller only takes MO or CCheck, perfect feedback 100+. However, i am rather concerned paying for this item this way . I realize paypal only offers minimal protection, but if the transaction goes South what can you do other than call the local cops??

The only recourse is the obvious,fire bomb his/her house.It solves many problems.Try it sometime.

It is too easy to run feedback up by selling small-time items in order to work up to a scam in order to sucker people out of big money.

I'd shy away if the sell can't take PayPal or credit card. Especially if they still do so when I offer to tack on extra to cover their fees.

Small Claims court and that is about it - Unfortunately chances are the scammer will have moved to another state by the time the case goes through the system - Chances are you won't get a dime.

Wait a few weeks and ALL sellers will have to take PP/CC.

I would not buy ANYTHING from a stranger on EBAY, unless they take PP/CC.

There is ZERO recourse, if you pay via paper-payment. NONE.

I refuse to buy big ticket items with anything but PayPal unless I'm buying from a dealer that I know within driving distance. There's a card I've wanted for awhile but will not purchase it because the seller will only take a check or money order. Yes the feedback is good and the guy even has a website but I can live without it if I can't pay via PayPal.
