I am not saying this auction is not legit, but let's see..... Zero feedback seller, $50k+ card, identical format to another eBay seller and private bidder auction. If it is legit, then I apologize to the seller.

What's really weird is that he lists his location as Prospect, Kentucky but his cell phone number is through Sprint in Palm Beach, Florida.

Also, United Arab Emirates is an Airline out of the Middle East with ties to Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm al-Qaiwain, Ras al-Khaimah and Fujairah.

This card was sold by Heritage Auctions in October 2006, Lot: 19822, Auction: 705, for $35,850.

I think I'll pass on this one!

I'm in contact with the real owner of this card...he's been alerted (and his name is not John).

Let's all report this to eBay (I'd be tempted to call the number in the auction and have some fun with him, pretending we are law enforcement agents etc).

I bet his 1933 Goudey Ruth PSA 5 isn't real either.

Hi all, I am the current owner of the 1952 Topps Mantle card shown in this auction. This card certainly seems to attract its share of scammers. I believe that the scan was stolen from the Oct. 2006 Heritage auction. I did not actually win the card in the Heritage auction myself, but acquired it at a later time on eBay. I have sent a message to the seller identifying myself as the card's owner and warning them that the scam has been discovered, and that they are risking criminal prosecution if they continue with it. It might be helpful if others pursued this as well. We'll see what happens.

Heritage Auctions didn't disclose the name of the winner of this card from 2006.

I can't find the 33 Goudey Ruth PSA 5 card anywhere, with matching Cert numbers, of which he might have stolen the picture.

I'm not sure I'd want to mess with this seller ..... maybe best just to report him to eBay.

A lot of things just don't mesh .... look at his other auctions for the football game tickets.

His pictures show the tickets with his eBay ID next to them.

Looks like he has the tickets, but not the cards! Very strange!

Just thought I would add another one to the mix. I have reported every auction this seller has and they are all pirated photos. Yet, they are all still running. By the time some people read this the auctions will have ended and some eBay users will be out a lot of money.

Why do these sellers always have trouble with spelling and punctuation? Check this out:

"All the card I am listing are apart of my husbands due to his recent passing i need to sell some things to get by. I took these cards to a dealer and they are all origaninal and graded by pros. Thats about all I know for thease card and as far as payment I will take check money order or bank transfer. I may list thease on ebay to if I dont get enough interest off this site.
