ID help Vietnam coin

This may be a long shot, but can anyone ID this coin? I think it is from Emperor Thieu Tri 1841-1848 and it is 48mm in diameter. I can't find it in Krause.

  • It's Thieu Tri, either an imitation 60 Van or a charm/token/medal.

    The calligraphic style of the top character is very different from all of the examples in Barker's "Historical Cash Coins of Vietnam".

    It's certainly a charm/token, not a regular coin. You may also want to rotate the image clockwise 90 degrees.

    yeah the first image needs a clockwise 90 degree turn

    the calligraphy looks a bit odd for circulation strikes

    is the hole completely plugged?
