I'm sorry I ever doubted you, Johan, you are wayyyyy better than Cole "Overrated" Hamels, and I promise to applaud you when you when the Mets win the NL East.

Sincerely,

    12-7

Another clueless fan who thinks W-L record shows the real story.

    Sincerely,

    2.64 ERA, 1.10 WHIP & 4.0 K/BB Ratio.

Sooner or later the Mets will have to beat a team with a winning record!

    Sincerely,
    The future
  • The Astros had a winning record before they played the Mets tonight.

12 and 7 with 7 starts remaining, add that to the 7 games he left with a lead and yes
his 12 and 7 at this time is looking pretty good.

Then again a blinded Sillies phan won't see it.

    Better that way.

    Good for you.

If you would tell Mets fan that late in August Jamie Moyer would have better record than Santana would you have paid him all that
    money?

    Case closed

  • Jamie Moyer has a better record then Johann Santana ? That is too funny.
  • grote15grote15 Posts: 29,696 ✭✭✭✭✭
Santana is one of the top five pitchers in the NL. Moyer isn't even the same league. To compare them solely on their records is foolish. I guess you also think Bert Blyleven sucked because his W-L record was pretty pedestrian, too.

    Sincerely,

    Reality

If you are really saying that Santana is having a better year than Moyer, you are crazy. With the jack that the Mets are paying him he should
    be 20-2 right now!

    Sincerely,
You know it and I know it

I have an idea: why don't you ask 100 at least "knowledgable" baseball fans (excluding yourself, of course) if they'd rather have, right now, on August 23, 2008, Jamie Moyer or Santana on their pitching staff and see what kind of response you'd get. I'm beting the results may actually be 100-0.

    Sincerely,

Those who can actually gauge talent

least knowledgable becuase there is no way that anyone would believe that Moyer is better than Santana...with all that money they are
paying him...but alas if you ask 100 people who know something, then Moyer would be your winner!

Admit it, you paid Santana all that money to dominate, not show up and go a few games over .500.

That's alright, all this will be moot once the Mets are on the couch.
