Beijing Olympics - Boxing

I have enjoyed the Olympic games with Boxing being one of my favorite sports of the games. I have found myself yelling at TV the last few days with inconsistent scoring and officiating. Now, it appears there are huge problems due to corruption and incompetence. What a shame.

The sport of Boxing, in general, use to be such a thrill to watch. Why can't the sport get it's act together? Anyone else miss the sport?

    The USA Olympic Boxing team has been very disappointing. I think there are complaints about the scoring in boxing at every Olympics. The Roy Jones bout in Seoul was the worst.

    I still love boxing - no sport has a higher ceiling for excitement period.

    No kidding, the Seoul Korea incident was disgusting. I just watched a video of the `88 Roy Jones Jr. fight and that has to be the worst Olympic scam ever... well, maybe not but close.

    I'm a big boxing fan as well (just like every other sport image) and I too find myself in disbelief at the scoring. A guy will cleanly land a nice combo and nothing happens. I guess the only way to KNOW you'll win the fight is to go and knock the guy out yourself.
